On a well-paced itinerary you can reach Sete Cidades and the west coast on one day, Furnas and the thermal valley on another, and Ponta Delgada itself on arrival or departure day. If you want more time on the island, the Azores Getaways team can extend the São Miguel portion before booking.

All three destinations work well year-round. Spring (April to May) is ideal, with mild temperatures around 17°C to 20°C (63°F to 68°F), lush green landscapes in São Miguel, and fewer crowds in Porto and Lisbon. Summer (June to August) is warm at around 24°C to 28°C (75°F to 82°F), the busiest and most expensive period but excellent for São Miguel's outdoor activities. Autumn (September to October) stays warm at around 20°C to 24°C (68°F to 75°F), quieter and good value. Winter (November to March) is mild at around 14°C to 17°C (57°F to 63°F), well suited to Porto and Lisbon city exploration with fewer visitors.
If you are travelling solo, the package price is based on two travelers sharing a room and a single supplement applies. You can check solo pricing by changing the number of guests from 2 to 1 in the booking calendar before clicking See Dates and Prices.
The Azores, Porto, and Lisbon are all part of Portugal, consistently ranked as one of the safest countries in Europe for travelers, with no active conflicts and not affected by the current conflicts in Europe or elsewhere. Canadian and US passport holders do not currently need a visa for stays of up to 90 days within a 180-day period. Your passport should be valid for at least six months beyond your return date. ETIAS, a pre-travel authorization for Schengen Area travel, is not yet mandatory. When it launches, we will contact you in advance.
The land portion of your package is refundable if cancelled at least 14 days before your travel date. Airfare is non-refundable from the moment it is issued, but the Azores Getaways team will always check with the airline to explore options. Travel insurance with cancellation cover is strongly recommended. This summary does not replace the full terms and conditions of your booking, which we encourage you to read before confirming.
Booking the three destinations separately means managing three different airline reservations, three hotels, a separate train ticket, and coordinating every transfer yourself. When the São Miguel flight is delayed, nobody is watching the Porto connection. When you arrive at Porto station, nobody is waiting. This package handles every connection and every transfer as a single itinerary. If something goes wrong between São Miguel and Porto, the Azores Getaways team fixes it. That is the difference between a package and a collection of bookings.
For general support during office hours, contact the Azores Getaways team at our regular number. Support is available every day from 8:00 AM to 12:00 AM Azores Time. Outside office hours, an emergency number is provided in your trip documents. For local emergencies anywhere on this trip, dial 112.
