This Azores Getaways package includes round-trip flights, 6 nights at the Mercure Ponta Delgada Azores with daily breakfast, and airport transfers. A rental car, guided tours, and city taxes are not included.

A shuttle transfer between João Paulo II Airport and the hotel is included both on arrival and departure. 

No, this package does not include a rental car. The hotel sits in central Ponta Delgada, a short walk from Portas da Cidade and the historic center, so much of the city is walkable. For day trips outside the city, like Sete Cidades or Furnas, a guided tour is the recommended way to get there. You can add it during the booking process.

• Location. Right in the city center, a short walk from Portas da Cidade, restaurants, and Ponta Delgada's historic streets, and close to João Paulo II International Airport. On free days, being downtown means you're never far from somewhere to eat or something to see, and most included tours already pick up directly from this hotel, no need to arrange your own transport to a meeting point.
• On-site amenities. Three pools, an outdoor pool for adults, a separate outdoor pool for kids, and a heated indoor pool with a free Turkish bath and sauna, plus a spa and Bruma Lounge Bar & Bistrô, so evenings don't require going anywhere if you'd rather not.
• A recognized international brand. Mercure is part of a larger international hotel group, Accor, so you know roughly what to expect in terms of service and consistency before you even arrive.

The hotel has three pools, an outdoor pool for adults, a separate outdoor pool for children, and a heated indoor pool as part of the spa, with free access to a Turkish bath and sauna. Personalized massages and a Vichy shower are available at additional cost. A swim cap is required in the indoor pool, and access is adults-only from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Bruma Lounge Bar & Bistrô serves refined petiscos made with local ingredients alongside artisanal cocktails, in a trendy, relaxed setting.

Yes, it's included. The VIP perks include a bottle of wine and a cheese board with jam and nuts, served in your room. A room upgrade is also available at check-in, subject to availability.

City taxes are not included and are paid directly at the hotel. 

It depends on what you're looking for. The central location is an advantage, since the Campo de São Francisco, where the main processions take place, is within walking distance of the hotel, no need to plan transport to take part. On the other hand, expect a livelier, more crowded city center than usual during the festivities, with possible extra traffic around the hotel on procession days. If you'd rather be close to the action, this location works well. If you're looking for a quieter stay, consider travel dates outside of May, or check with the Azores Getaways team about what to expect for your specific dates.

No. If you decide to add a rental car, please note the Mercure Ponta Delgada does not offer parking of any kind.
