After settling in, set sail to explore the vibrant town of Horta, the "City of Sailors." For centuries, Horta has served as a vital and strategic stopping point for sailors crossing the vast Atlantic Ocean. This itinerary offers a delightful way to soak up the island's main city's unique charm and rich maritime history on your arrival day.

• Porto Pim: Enjoy a stroll along the promenade, relax on the sandy beach, or take a refreshing dip in the calm waters.
• Genuíno Restaurant: For a taste of local legend, consider lunch at Genuíno Restaurant. This restaurant is owned by Genuíno Madruga, a celebrated Azorean seafarer who has twice circumnavigated the globe solo! • Monte da Guia: Walk up to Monte da Guia, a hilltop offering panoramic views of Horta, the harbor, and Pico Island
• Nossa Senhora da Conceição Viewpoint: For another captivating perspective, head to the Nossa Senhora da Conceição Viewpoint.
• Horta's Marina (a very colorful one): Horta's marina boasts a very colorful tradition! Sailors paint the harbor walls, creating a mosaic that celebrates their journeys across the Atlantic. It's a vibrant testament to their adventures.

2:30 PM - 6:30 PM

Departing from your hotel in Horta, this scenic journey begins with an ascent to Espalamaca, where a stop at the Miradouro da Nossa Senhora da Conceição reveals sweeping views over Horta and the island’s northern coast. We then travel through the peaceful Vale dos Flamengos on our way to one of Faial’s most iconic natural wonders—the Caldeira.

Dominating the island’s center, the Caldeira is a massive volcanic crater, measuring around 2,000 meters across, 400 meters deep, and stretching seven kilometers around. Covered in lush greenery and home to a small central lagoon, it's a striking reminder of Faial's volcanic origins.

Our route then takes us north, through rolling green pastures fringed with vibrant hydrangeas, to a viewpoint overlooking the picturesque Fajã. From there, we head west to the parish of Capelo, where you’ll visit the fascinating Capelinhos Volcano site and the nearby School of Handicrafts, famous for its delicate straw-embroidered tulle.

We end the day at Monte da Guia, a volcanic cone that rises gracefully just outside Horta. Part of a protected landscape, this 145-meter-high formation offers a final moment of reflection, with panoramic views that perfectly capture the island's dramatic beauty.

7 AM - 10 PM

Island Hopping Ease: The islands of the Azores Triangle are conveniently connected by short ferry rides, making island hopping a breeze. Today's adventure focuses on the captivating southern region of São Jorge (the Azores Triangle = Pico, Faial & São Jorge!)

This full-day itinerary, with ferry tickets included, takes you on a scenic adventure, showcasing the stunning landscapes, rich history, and unique cultural treasures of this stunning island. 

• Velas Panorama: Departing from Velas, we head south, stopping at the Miradouro das Velas. Capture breathtaking panoramic views of the charming town and the majestic Pico Island rising from the ocean.
• Ribeira do Nabo's Crafts: Continue to Ribeira do Nabo, a village known for its beautiful handicrafts, particularly its exquisite woven artwork. Explore local shops and admire the skills of talented artisans.
• Urzelina's Volcanic History: Travel to the seaside parish of Urzelina, where a powerful volcanic eruption reshaped the landscape in 1808. See the lone survivor – the tower of the old church – a stark reminder of nature's force.
• Manadas & São Jorge Cheese: Following the scenic coastline with breathtaking views of Pico Island, we arrive at Manadas. Admire the parish's landmark, the Church of Santa Bárbara. For a taste of São Jorge, visit a cheese factory and learn about the production of the island's renowned cheese.
• Fajã Viewpoints: Prepare to be captivated by the dramatic coastal landscapes. Our journey continues with mandatory stops at the viewpoints of Fajã dos Cubres and Fajã do Ouvidor, offering breathtaking vistas of the rugged coastline.
• Parque das Sete Fontes: Immerse yourself in the beauty of nature at Parque das Sete Fontes in Rosais parish. Wander through this park, admiring the diverse flora, with a focus on the island's unique endemic plants.
• Pico da Velha Panorama: Our final stop is Pico da Velha, a place where clear skies reward you with a spectacular view of the other central islands – Faial, Pico, and Graciosa.
• Returning to Velas: After this exhilarating adventure, we journey back to Vila das Velas, where our tour concludes and you get back to Faial after a full-day of adventure.

• São Mateus & Sanctuary: Head to São Mateus parish and visit the Sanctuary of "Bom Jesus Milagroso," a significant religious landmark.

This full-day adventure will immerse you in the island’s natural beauty, from the iconic Sete Cidades and Lagoa do Fogo crater lakes to stunning waterfalls, dramatic cliffs, and awe-inspiring rock formations along the rugged coastline.

Your journey begins at Sete Cidades, one of Portugal’s Seven Natural Wonders, where you'll be treated to panoramic views of the twin lakes from two incredible viewpoints. After a delicious lunch (included), we’ll venture into the heart of São Miguel, where the magnificent cliffs of the north coast leave a lasting impression. From there, explore the hidden Salto do Cabrito waterfall, tucked away amidst lush greenery, before ascending to the summit of Lagoa do Fogo. Here, you’ll be captivated by the primal beauty of the crater lakes below. As the day winds down, we’ll conclude at the mountain’s peak, where expansive vistas stretch across the island, offering some of the most breathtaking views of São Miguel.
