Yes. Daily breakfast is included throughout the trip. In addition, selected guided experiences include meals, such as the Welcome Dinner in Madeira, lunches during the Santana Excursion, Porto Moniz Tour, Sete Cidades & Lagoa do Fogo Tour, and the famous Cozido das Furnas lunch during the Furnas Tour. Other lunches and dinners are left free so you can discover local restaurants at your own pace.

Spring and summer (April to September) offer the warmest temperatures, lush landscapes, and excellent conditions for hiking, whale watching, and sightseeing. Autumn and winter are quieter and still pleasant, particularly in Madeira, which enjoys very mild temperatures throughout the year.

Group sizes vary depending on the experience and transportation used, ranging from small groups to larger groups of up to approximately 50 travelers in São Miguel, though groups are often smaller. In Madeira, group size depends on logistics, with transport arranged by van or coach for comfort. All experiences are led by expert local English-speaking guides or tour leaders, ensuring a smooth, informative, and well-organized experience throughout the trip.

We recommend comfortable walking shoes, light layers, and a waterproof jacket, as weather conditions in the Azores and Madeira can change quickly. For hot springs in São Miguel, bring a dark swimsuit, towel, and change of clothes. For free days, you may want activewear if you choose optional hikes or levada walks. A small day backpack, sunscreen, and reusable water bottle are also highly recommended.

Yes, most guided experiences include hotel pick-up and drop-off. The only exception is the Whale & Dolphin Watching Experience in São Miguel, where guests must make their own way to the meeting point at Portas do Mar Marina in Ponta Delgada.
