This Azores Getaways package includes round-trip flights, 6 nights at either the Azores Book Hotel or Palácio de Santa Catarina (both 4-star) with daily breakfast, airport transfers, and three guided experiences: a full-day Terceira Island Tour, a half-day walking tour of UNESCO-listed Angra do Heroísmo, and a half-day Volcanic Experience exploring Terceira's geological highlights.

A rental car and city taxes are not included.

Round-trip flights are included in the package. Other departure cities are available on the calendar or on request. The package price depends on the selected airport.

No, this package does not include a rental car.

Since airport transfers are included and all guided experiences provide hotel pickup and drop-off, a car is not necessary to enjoy the included itinerary.

Yes. Daily breakfast is included throughout your stay, providing the perfect start before each day of sightseeing or exploring Terceira at your own pace.

Lunches and dinners are not included, giving you the freedom to discover Terceira's excellent restaurants and traditional cuisine, including specialties such as Alcatra, fresh seafood, local cheeses, and regional desserts.

The Azores Book Hotel is a literary-inspired boutique hotel in the heart of Angra do Heroísmo, a UNESCO World Heritage city, positioned steps from the cobblestone streets, historic churches, and local restaurants of the old town. Complimentary parking is included. The hotel combines authentic Azorean character with modern comfort. 

The package includes a set of VIP perks at the Azores Book Hotel, arranged by the Azores Getaways team before your arrival. On check-in you will find a fresh local fruit basket and a traditional Queijada da Dona Amélia, the iconic Terceira pastry made from honey, almonds, and cinnamon that has been produced on the island since 1927. You also receive a 10% discount on all spa treatments during your stay. A complimentary upgrade to a superior room is included subject to availability at the time of check-in. The upgrade cannot be guaranteed but the team will request it on your behalf.

São Miguel has the crater lakes and the thermal springs. Terceira has something different. Angra do Heroísmo is a living UNESCO World Heritage city with 500 years of Atlantic history in its streets. The Algar do Carvão is a volcanic cave formed 3,200 years ago that you can descend 90 meters into on foot. The impérios, colorful religious brotherhood chapels found in every village on the island, are unique to Terceira and have no equivalent anywhere else in the Azores. The pace is slower than São Miguel and the island feels less discovered.

• Summer (June to September): warm temperatures between 20–26°C (68–79°F) and ideal conditions for sightseeing, hiking, and festivals.
• Spring and autumn: pleasant weather with fewer visitors, typically 16–21°C (61–70°F).
• Winter: generally mild, around 14–18°C (57–64°F), although weather can change quickly - as locals often say, you may experience all four seasons in one day.
