About Azores Getaways

Fifteen Years. Nine Islands. One Specialist.

We have been organising travel to the Azores since 2009. More than 10,000 travellers from the United States and Canada have booked through us. They rate us 4.8 stars on Trustpilot and 4.5 on Google. The Azores is not a destination we researched. It is where our team lives.

Why One Specialist Makes a Difference

The Azores is nine volcanic islands spread across 600 kilometres of Atlantic ocean. Getting between them requires a combination of inter-island flights and ferry crossings, both of which run on seasonal schedules. Faial and Flores require different planning than São Miguel. The road from Horta to Caldeira on Graciosa is not the same road as the EN1 around Ponta Delgada.

We know the difference because we work here. Our team is based in the Azores. We walk the trails we put in itineraries. We eat at the restaurants we recommend. When the whale-watching season on Pico runs later than usual, we know before it shows up on a booking platform.
What that means for you: one contact person from the moment you enquire to the day you return home. Flights, ferries, accommodation, guided excursions, car hire, and contingency planning are all handled in one place. If something changes on the ground, we sort it. You do not have to.

We also work with a vetted network of local guides and regional operators across the islands. Not the ones easiest to book online. The ones our team has worked with for years.

Who You Are Booking With

We are IATA-accredited. This accreditation is worth understanding before you book international travel with any agency.
IATA accreditation means we meet the standards required to issue and manage airline tickets directly. It exists for your protection, not ours.
We are also transparent about what we cannot control. Flights are sometimes delayed. Weather closes ferry routes. When that happens, we communicate clearly and move quickly. We do not wait for problems to escalate before getting in touch.

Our Commitment to the Azores

We partner with the Ocean Azores Foundation, which works to protect the marine ecosystems of the archipelago, including the sperm whale populations in the waters around Pico Island. A portion of every booking supports that work.
We also offset the carbon generated by flights in every itinerary we build, and we plant native trees in Azorean forests as part of that programme. The Azores is worth protecting. That is not a marketing statement, it is the reason this business exists.

Start Planning

Most travellers spend 30 to 60 minutes with us before they book. We talk through which islands match what you are looking for, how much time makes sense for the kind of trip you have in mind, and what questions you have about travelling to a place you may not know well yet.
If you are ready for that conversation, just send us an email or call us.
