About the Accommodation
CAPARICA is a multicultural and open space that focuses on quality. It stands out for what interests us most: music, cuisine, nature, contemporary art and photography. We respect environmental issues, contribute to the sustainable development of tourism in the Azores and preserve the quality of life and satisfaction of our visitors.
Designed to blend into its natural surroundings, it is located in a forest north of Terceira Island, less than two kilometers from the Biscoitos beach area.
In the new space you will find seven accommodation units: six lodges (suites) and a rustic house for groups and families. It also has a common area, a reception house with fireplace and terrace. The ecolodge also features an orchard, a vegetable garden, several areas for relaxation and a row pool. In the surroundings you will also find well-marked trails, long or short, a golf course, bathing areas, natural parks, fishing port and belvederes.
Diluted in the natural vegetation of the complex, the six huts are partially suspended. Implanted in the woods and isolated, they are veritable observatories of nature. All rooms have a double bed (with an extra single bed), bathroom, a living room equipped with a table, a minibar, an electric coffee-maker and a porch with a panoramic view. They offer thermal and acoustic insulation from their double glazing and Internet.
The House of the Orchard
In ruins since the earthquake of 1980, the house was rebuilt according to the traditional methods used in the region: exterior walls lined with basalt stone as in the old haystacks, intended to shelter the shepherds. It has been transformed into a two bedroom house and now features a private outdoor space with a unique view of the sea.
The Mother House
A central space that functions as reception, was born from the reconstruction of a pre-existing structure. It is in this space that you will find the check-in, the dining room, the kitchen, the laundry, the terrace area and the bar. The space has wi-fi, projector and library. It can also host conferences and workshops.

Striking the perfect balance between lush volcanic landscapes and seaside cities with charming European vibes, you will be pleasantly surprised by Terceira island. Classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, Terceira's capital city of Angra do Heroísmo is dotted by historical buildings, colorful houses, restaurants, shops, and cafes that you'll love to discover.
