Azores Getaways has planned trips to the Azores since 2011. In that time, more than 10,000 travelers from the United States and Canada have booked with us, and they rate us 4.8 on Trustpilot and 4.5 on Google. That’s how we know which island combinations work in seven days and which ones need ten.

Why Plan the Azores With a Local Team

The Azores is nine volcanic islands spread across about 370 miles of the Atlantic. Getting between them takes inter-island flights and ferries, and the ferry schedules change with the season. Faial and Flores need different planning from São Miguel, and the drive from Horta up to the Caldeira on Faial has little in common with the coast road around Ponta Delgada.

We know this because we live here. We hike the trails we put in your itinerary and eat at the restaurants we recommend. When the whale season around Pico runs late, we hear it from the skippers before it shows up on a booking site.

What We Handle

You won’t spend your trip managing logistics. We take care of:

• Your route, based on your dates, your pace and the season
• Round-trip flights, inter-island flights and ferries
• Hotels in locations that make sense for each day
• Rental cars, transfers and guided tours, when your trip includes them
• One trip manager from your first question to the day you fly home

If a ferry is cancelled, a flight changes or the weather closes a road, you call us, not a helpline. We rearrange the day and tell you what’s changed.

What’s Included in Our Packages

Every vacation package includes round-trip flights, your hotels and a trip manager. A rental car, inter-island flights, transfers and tours depend on the package, and each package page lists exactly what’s in it. Checked bags aren’t included by default, and you can add them when you book.

Our Terms and Conditions explain how changes and cancellations work. If anything in them isn’t clear, ask us before you book.

Who You’re Booking With

Azores Getaways was built around one destination. We’re part of Inovtravel, a registered Portuguese tour operator (RNAVT 3877) and IATA member (#64212116). As IATA members, we issue and manage airline tickets ourselves, so we can act quickly when a flight changes. Our sister brands, Portugal Getaways and Yes Getaways, cover mainland Portugal and the rest of Europe.

Our Commitment to the Azores

We partner with the Ocean Azores Foundation, which protects the marine life around the islands, including the sperm whales off Pico. Part of every booking goes to that work.
